Fat Transfer

Fat Transfer offers a natural solution to restore volume and shape to breasts in both men and women that may have lost some of their definition through aging or weight loss. In some cases after surgery where a lump has been removed or a surgical scar has been left, a small fat transfer procedure can restore breasts to their original look and shape.

Surgical Options
Fat is removed from an area of the body where it is in excess and transferred to the area of the breast that requires attention, this is designed to improve volume and change proportion and in many cases offers long-lasting results. Breast enlargement using this method is an alternative to implants and is particularly effective in cases of asymmetrical breasts (uneven breasts).

The Operation
Breast re-shaping or enlargement using this technique takes longer than traditional breast enlargement using implants. The fat must be harvested initially, then it is processed locally and placed into the breast not only so that it will create an aesthetic, natural appearance, but also so that the newly transplanted fat will be accepted by the tissues into which it is being placed. The two procedures (harvesting and placement) usually take between 3 to 4 hours.

One concern with injecting fat into the breast area has been to avoid any problems with future breast cancer detection. As with any breast procedure, calcifications and lumps can occur. Breast studies, including physical examination and mammograms, are used to monitor every patient diligently. However, there is no evidence that fat transfer to the breast is less safe than any other breast surgery.

Recovery & Aftercare
In most cases, downtime is three to four days and you will experience a little pain and minimal discomfort during this period

Post Waterproof dressing will be applied and the puncture wound areas should be kept dry for 1 week.

Lifting and strenuous exercise should be avoided for a minimum of two weeks

It is recommended that patients apply a silicone-based scar gel 3 weeks after surgery for up to 4 months.
